The heart behind Elega. Discover the story, passion, and vision that turned a dream into a jewelry brand loved by women across India.

"When I was a little girl, I always had one dream…
Not just to earn money.
Not just to “do a job.”

But to build something of my own.

I grew up watching my father work endlessly for our family. I saw the pressure, the sacrifices, the sleepless nights. And at the same time, I watched my mother quietly sacrifice her own needs, dreams, and comfort just to keep the family together.

As a child, I didn’t fully understand success.
But as I grew up, I realised something very deeply…

When you become someone…
When you create something of your own…
People value you differently.
They respect you differently.
And most importantly — you start respecting yourself differently.

That feeling became the seed of Elega.

After my studies, I joined my family business because that was the need of the hour at that time. Life moved forward. Then I got married. Then I became a mother.

And somewhere between responsibilities, expectations, and everyday life…
I slowly lost myself.

I lost touch with the girl who once had big dreams.

I started feeling anxious. Frustrated. Emotionally exhausted.
I became impulsive. My behaviour towards people started changing.
And the worst part was… I knew this wasn’t the real me.

From outside, everything looked fine.
But inside, I felt disconnected from myself.

And then randomly one day  I said to myself, "Enough, I cannot continue living like that"

Looking back today, I truly believe that was the moment the universe gave me an opportunity to change my life. Something deep inside me whispered, "This is not where you're meant to stay."

So I began taking small steps outside my comfort zone. One step at a time. Baby steps. It was the toughest phase of my life. I had a dream, but no clear direction. No roadmap. No guidance. At times, it felt like no support either.

Trust me—it wasn't easy.

Building something from scratch is not just financially challenging; it's emotionally exhausting. It's a constant battle with fear, self-doubt, and uncertainty. There were days filled with mental chaos and overwhelming stress.

People around me questioned my decision.

"Why do you need to do all this?"

"You already have a successful family business."

"Jewellery? That's not your cup of tea."

"It doesn't suit you."

For the first time in my life, I chose to stop listening to the noise around me and start listening to my inner voice.

I made a promise to myself. I would build something from scratch. Something I could truly call my own. Something I would nurture and grow, just like my own child. That one decision changed my life.

Today, I genuinely believe that the business itself is secondary. The biggest achievement of this journey is the person I have become. My confidence today is something I never imagined.

Most people look at Elega and see a jewellery brand. But to me, Elega is so much more.

Elega is my identity. 

Elega is my comeback.

 Elega is proof that dreams don't expire after marriage or motherhood.

One of the most beautiful parts of this journey is receiving messages from women saying, "Your story inspires me."

"I also want to build something of my own."

"Can I work with you?"

Those messages mean more to me than any sales number ever could.

Because, for the first time in my life, I feel like I've created something that inspires other women to believe in themselves.

Even today, I continue to face opinions, judgments, and questions.

My family has been incredibly supportive, but many people still ask,

"Why jewellery?"

"Why not continue in the metal business?"

"That business already gives you stability, respect, and success."

And honestly...

They're not wrong.

My family business was built with my father's sweat, sacrifices, and years of relentless hard work. But perhaps entrepreneurship runs in my blood too. 

I am my father's daughter. Just as he had the courage to build something from the ground up, I want to experience that journey myself. Not to compete with his legacy. But to carry forward the courage that created it.

For me, Elega is that medium. A medium through which I hope to make my parents proud. My family proud. My son proud. And most importantly...

To make my younger self proud.

If there's one thing I want every woman to take away from my journey, it's this:

Your dreams are valid.

Even after marriage.

Even after motherhood.

Even after years of putting yourself last.

It is never too late to become the person you were always meant to be.
